On my Galaxy S4 Active, how do I stop my home button from bringing up Google search?

Galaxy S4 Active: Home button brings up google search

Every time I use the home button to close all windows and bring me back to the home screen it instead opens up a google search. I saw a thread where someone had the same problem and he was told to do a soft reset by removing the battery for about 15 minutes, I've tried this but it only solves the problem temporarily. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Does it bring up Google Search even if you tap the Home button briefly? I think it's supposed to be short-tap for Home, and long-press for Google Search.

Yeah, just taping it briefly brings up Google search, its not stuck or anything either.

You've already gone through all of the system settings? Unfortunately, I don't have an S4 Active to test.

Yeah, I went through most of my phones settings and also the Google Chrome app settings
