Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

I've ben away for a few days and upon return the device was prompting a software upgrade. I've done that but its now hanging on a blank screen apart demo SAMSUNG shooing in the middle of it. Can anyone help please?

Re: Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

Make sure you have >50% battery charge left. Press and hold power button to shut down. Then boot into recovery mode. (power and vol down buttons together) Then select "reboot now" . should be the first option. Do not select wipe or factory reset

Re: Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

Seems like holding down power button restarts it anyway and doesn't give option of "reboot now"

Re: Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

Next step would be to wipe the cache in the recovery menu and then reboot.

Re: Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

ive got the same thing going on .. i rebooted but now the pop ups are saying "unfortunately-process-android-process-media-has-stopped" they keep popping up and wont let me do anything

Re: Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

now after being able to reboot it has asked me to put in my name and personalise my tablet/// its taking forever ... help!!!

Re: Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

I'm not too technical......how do I do that?

In the recovery menu scroll down to"wipe cache partition", when highlighted select with the power button. This does not wipe any of your data. Then reboot.

I select "wipe cache partition"....it starts erasing the says "error" and goes into the loop which ends up with the SAMSUNG logo hanging

Re: Galaxy Tab2 - problem after software upgrade

Factory reset is the only option left that I can suggest. It will delete all owner data and accounts, though. If you don't have backups to at least your google account, you will start with everything as"new".
