On the Go Flash Drive Compatibility?

I have a bunch of OTG drives They are all usb micro plug to usb 2. Is there an adapter that would let these actually work properly with usb C in phone or am I stuck with a bunch of outmoded hardware? Before answering have you actually tried to transfer files using otg micro usb flash drive with adapter for usb c?

I've used a USB C cable to transfer files to and from a USB 3.0 phone. What do you need? A C OTG adapter. (Since "OTG" is one wire, it should still be in the $1 range. Wire is wire.)
