I'm pretty satisfied with my LG G6. It's probably the first phone in 5 years that I haven't started to have problems with after a year's usage. That said, I usually feel that battery could always be better as I normally only get about 3.5 to 4 hours SOT. Then this happened... (See screenshot)

I guess it serves as a reminder that how you use the phone can have significant impact on your battery life. Pretty much the only thing I did all day was a few minutes of YouTube and Facebook, then about 5 hours of reading.

Normally I listen to about 3 hours of Tune-in radio or podcasts a day which I've learned sucks the battery right up. :p

Sooo... What's the most SOT you've gotten out of your G6?

Nice! The best I've gotten is in the low fives, but I have noticed I get more SOT, and less overall life, with heavy use.

Totally agree. I'm always impressed with some of the battery life that people say they regularly get and I'm certain mine was a one-time event given how I habitually use my phone. I definitely classify myself as a heavy user because I find myself more and more listening to streaming radio or podcasts which burns through battery while leaving the screen off.

Very true but as you stated it all depends on what you are doing. Im very certain i can reach the same SOT if im just reading.

Oh, it's absolutely dependent on how you use it. It was just kinda shocking to see that number. I even tracked back on the graph to make sure I hadn't planned it on the charger and forgotten—and I hadn't.

I do believe your battery life depends on how you use your phone, how close you are to cell towers, and what apps you have polling in the background. I don't have any social media apps on my phone so I know an app like Facebook isn't polling frequently. I also don't have my screen turned on very much during the day but I do listen to downloaded podcasts at least 2 hrs per day. Having said that, I get excellent battery life with my G6 where I pull the phone off the charger at 6 am and have maybe 45% or power left by 8 pm.
