Just upgraded from Nexus 5 to 5X. It's OK: Forum & review verdicts on the mediocrity and cons are very accurate.

Considering swapping to a 6P but am indeed worried about the size because I do a LOT of one handed messaging whilst walking. How are 6P owners finding it?

One handed use is pretty good. It'll be a stretch to reach for things in the upper left corner, but I can say the 6P is much more comfortable in the hand than the Nexus 6, which was wide and heavy.

I'm not sure what keyboard you use, but I've used SwiftKey Flow for a long time. It has the option to resize the keyboard, as well as right-justify the keyboard so I can one hand swipe-text without problems.

It will also be subjective to who asks the question. I have never worried about one handing a phablet. But I know other guys that can't on a 5.7 but a 5.5 they can.

It's all in the eyes (hands) of the beholder.

I don't think I have large hands, but everybody is different. I guess I must have fairly large hands since I have to usually buy large or x-large gloves for the winter (side note: winter is going to be interesting again... but I usually don't wear gloves except to scrape the car windows or remove snow from my car). I think seeing as all the new phones are getting bigger and bigger, this is what future phones are going to be... adapt, they are coming. I'm sure we will see less and less smaller phones, which could be a bigger issue for more and more ladies and some men.

Notifications have been my biggest issue with taller phones (the HTC One, I think it was the M9 as the second edition was my first)... but I replaced my launcher with Nova and can use a single swipe down to get to my first notification from any where on the screen - this really helped that I did not have to go all the way to the top of the screen to get them. So, I loaded Nova with in minutes of getting my new 6P. It's just something I find helps.

I can text with one hand. I don't think I've tried to do it while walking yet, but I don't see why not. I wouldn't attempt it without a case, but if you don't have small hands it should be fine.

Ok so I was worried that this phone was going to be too big for me as I have midget hands. So I went in to town to Carphone warehouse to hold a dummy phone.

And I have good news... very very good news. I is only a teeny weeny bit wider than my M8, it was very easy to juggle around in my palm like the M8 is, infact I noticed very little difference.

I now know I've made the right decision with this phone

I have smaller-medium sized hands, reaching to upper left corner was already a problem for me on 5.2 inch displays. Most of the time I 2 hand text so no change their. Really its coming down to muscle memory and getting used to the size. The phone passed the pocket and cup holder test for me. Overall much better feel than the Nexus 6 (2014).

Completely agree... I liked my Nexus 6 but the 6p feels dramatically lighter and smaller in the hand. and I had a pretty easy time using the 6...

Come to think of it, I very rarely need to reach for the upper top right. Sometimes apps have settings up there I guess

Great. So basically you can type one handed on the device.. I'm going to trade my 5X in for 6P.
