One Max or Note 3

Hell yeah. Cargo shorts or jacket and pants. =)

If you are coming from the note 2 why would you go for max over note 3? unless you wanted a change of course...Note 3 is the best phablet on the market by some distance but it depends if you like the HTC one and want a bigger verision of that.

Maybe they want a 1080 screen or don't like touchwiz much. I felt that the Note 2 was practically a bigger S3 since they had the same resolution . The Note 3 definitely has more processing power than the S4.

I'm on my Note 3 right now, but that's because I was too lazy to bring another charger inside last night. Other than the raw processing power of the Note 3, I prefer to use the One Max.

Just got my note 3 last Tuesday tempted to trade it in for one max... help convince me I love the note 3 and am a big gamer clash of clans and jungle heat and the battery life sucks for games. Is the max any better?

Battery life is everything for me as long as the phone can handle Web browsing texting and gaming I'm in love o yea and a gigantic screen.

I didn't love note 2 and s4 for same reason neither could handle the gaming. Maybe that's my problem but a guy can dream.

Also I'm waiting for the dawn media server drain to start as that has been my worst enemy in the past.

I have a note 3 note and considering the max cause the power button and volume buttons aren't directly across each other on the Max. And it looks like the home+menu and back buttons won't be accidently pushed as much on the Max. Plus I'll never use the s pen. Oh yes there's all that crap software on the note.

Just an old guys opinion

Werd.

Samsung is trying to tout touchwiz as wonderful, but real users know...

HTC plots out how Real World users Use. Maybe not 'bleeding edge' on the equipment, but their interface is crisp and professional, so the 'in the wild' experience is favorable.
Samsung shoves in the fat and flab so hard, they need above-top-of-the-line specs to compare in the end.

Smart money would go to HTC. OR, you can send it to me... I could use some extra dosh to buy a One Max for my other half...:-$

I'm actually thinking of moving from the Max to the Note 3. I love my Max, the screen, the speakers, sense, all of it, but I think I could really benefit from the s-pen. I have to do quick sketches for t-shirt designs and send them off to my artist, and I can't really do that with my finger on the Max.

When I went to VZW to renew my contract and upgrade I was torn between these two phones. The sales guy brought out both and said he would recommend the Max... I considered the pros and cons of each, discussed them with him and then decided on the Max. For me, the Note 3 looked good but smaller screen, touchwiz and the higher price made it the inferior choice. Just my opinion but the fact that I'd probably never use S Pen was also a factor.

The Max on the other hand has a larger screen, aluminum construction, front firing speakers, fingerprint scanner, and LCD which I read is better than AMOLED. I went with the Max for these reasons and I'm loving it!!! Battery life is phenominal too!! It's lasting me like 2.5 days if I really let it drain and that's with heavy use. At least for me. I read ebooks, browse the interwebs, watch YouTube, follow my social media, use BlinkFeed, use callendar, phone, email, have not setup fingerprint scanner yet but may soon, all on my One Max... So far, since I got it 8 days ago, I've used it more than any of my other devices including tablets and laptop. And by a wide margin!! Love the One Max!!!

no a flex

You have the LG G Flex? How does that compare to your Max? If Verizon had the G Flex I may have gone with that instead... Which do you prefer? Just wondering...

I was considering getting the one max but chose against it because the one max is 30% heavier than the note 3 and doesn't have a removable battery.
