I have been a OP fan since the early days, never owned a device myself but gifted a few to family.
I skipped on the 3T because I could sense the 5 coming.
Now OP India has started a contest to gift 5 members the OP5 for free. I get it every company does promotions and this is a part of it but I did not like what fans had to do in the 3rd round of the contest.
When you're a brand which is growing it is obvious you use this marketing strategy to rise and there is nothing wrong with it but you cannot expect fans to do everything and anything to get a phone for free. The 3rd round wanted you to upload a video to show what you would do to be a part of the Chosen5.
And responses poured in, I myself participated in the first 2 rounds but this really disappointed me. Are we in a circus that we have to do cheap tricks and post videos to prove that we are OnePlus fans? It would rather be better if a lucky draw was made.
I am looking forward to getting a OP5 and I will buy it but this is sad.
