There is 2 ram versions for OP5. I heard that android is still not supporting 8gb ram. So do I need 8gb ram, or should I save some money by opting 6gb version. Storage 64GB is quite ok with me??

are you serious .. it doesnt matter which one as long as you get one!!

I have not seen any significant or widespread views that even 4gb of ram is detrimental to performance.
I suspect there will be very few people who will have usage where going from 6 to 8 will make a tangible difference.
Instead decide on the internal storage, not the RAM in my opinion.
Personally, when my budget allows I am planning on the 128gb version for that reason, the capacity.
No idea what my usage would actually be, and that is more to future proof my decision as expanding via MicroSD isn't an option.

If you ask for "as of right now", you are probably fine with 6GB RAM. But if you plan to keep the phone for quite a while, it might be advisable to have more RAM just to be prepared for future Android versions. Where did you hear that Android can not handle the 8GB?

Also, "Storage 64GB is quite ok with me??", is that part of the question (because it would be hard for anyone else than you to answer that)?

The extra ram is not really noticeable, so you should only get the 8g version if you need the extra 64 gigs of internal storage.

I'd go for the 128 GB model just because you can't upgrade later if you need the extra space.

If you want to do heavy emulating like dolphin or ps2 emu android then go for 8gb if you have money, but the 6gb is still ok for gaming and emulating if you want to save money.but try for the 8go version

You get the 8 Gb if you are a hard core gamer OR have over 1000 apps installed OR plan something like that for the future.
Right now, basic/regular use, I think both phones perform equally.

just stick with the 6gb to save some problems that you might get with the phone when having the 8gb version

Nah, get the 8GB version, that way you can avoid the issues you may encounter from having the 6GB variant...

I mean, seriously, what are you even talking about? lol

Now why would one get a 6gb over an 8gb version? I don't understand why there are 2 versions?

Because the 8gb ram version has 128gb of internal storage, rather than 64gb.
Yet somehow people are completely overlooking that.

Why are people obsessed with the ram rather than the internal storage.
Either a consequence of the advertising, or a pretty accurate prediction of what consumers will obsess about.
But a puzzling one that I can't understand.

Questions for those asking about the ram, why ?
Why is that the figure you are focusing on.
Why do you believe 6gb is insufficient when that is only becoming common enough now, let alone 8gb.
