One Plus Update Process

Interested in getting this phone. Just wondering how the OS will receive updates. Not using a PC here so hoping this will be OTA.

It will be, since it's Cyanogen. That also means it should recieve the latest Android firmware fairly quickly.

Have a friend that moved from AT&T to AIO that AT&T owns as a pre-paid that is saving a lot of money and is still using only AT&T's towers.

You're better off going with Straight Talks byop program.. Cheaper than AIO, unless you get AIO's $60/month plan with 5GB high speed data. Straight Talk only offers 2.5GB high speed data..but both are unlimited data just after the high speed data runs out you'll be down to Edge speeds.

It is CyanogenMod so the update cycle follow closely behind AOSP and stock android. Also CyanogenMod have nightlies, which mean you can flash a new test build everyday if you want to.

It'll work on pretty much any GSM carrier.
