One UI 8 Watch7 Beta

It let me join but no beta notice to download the software yet.
Captured this from the referenced article: "The request will process and you should be able to find and install the One UI 8 Watch beta as your next update."

With all the Samsung Beta programs, it sometimes takes hours to a couple days to go through the process of getting you registered after you join the Beta program. I just did the Join routine and no update available yet. Just keep checking back every few hours.

And I am in the KC area in USA, Watch Ultra.

I believe it's specifically for a carrier-only beta. I saw that T-Mobile is the only carrier being offered for the beta.

Yep. Just saw a report last night that the Beta is for Bluetooth Watch 7 abd Ultra models in general; only LTE model at this time is the T-Mobile model. Mine is an LTE on AT&T (unlocked). Since it did qualify to join the Beta, maybe the program will expand to other carriers soon/later????

Both of my watches are Ultra and on T-Mobile, but yet I cannot get past "Please connect your watch to your phone, and try again" on either one. Really, really frustrating!!

My beta installed no problem on a Watch 7, no carrier at all. but note to others.. battery life takes ~ 30% hit. Not sure why. This happens when I update Apple Watches often and I UN-pair and reset and then re-pair, but I’m not sure how to do that on Galaxy OS.

So, if you really need or use your watch daily, keep in mind that beta’s - and this one is no different - often have battery life hits at first.

I downloaded the beta last night. After you join the beta program for the watch, go to the Wear App and update the watch. You will get the beta there.

I don't know how you all feel about this update, but I don't like how they changed the way we will be viewing our messages on the watch. As you can see below it no longer uses the whole screen. 20250701_153611.jpg

I don't like what we have now. It doesn't sync well between phone and the watch. And the GOOGLE MSG sucks on Samsung watch.

Make sure you open the Wearable app on the phone. Then check update again.

For me, I don't have that problem. Mine syncs well and my Google Message works well. I would have it looked at.

Getting back to the update. I don't see any real changes. I did notice the animations are different. I guess I need to dig a little deeper into the update.

I agree, everything is also SMALLER and it makes using it for me (without my granny readers) even harder. Why move backwards other than uniformity between phone and watch.

Apparently, you had to have LTE on to trigger the download for the Ultra. So, I've now missed out. Maybe if they open it again...

So, my GW7U is on One UI 6.0

Is Samsung skipping 7.0 or is my device somehow missing the update to 7.0?
