I stumbled upon a link to the OCR website for the G4. I remember OCR from a few years back when I was having to root the original Galaxy S or Atrix to fix the AT&T infection. I haven't used it since then. Anyone know if it is legit?

Haven't seen a single legit one click root except very briefly on XDA but it was taken down.

Thanks, this was a 3rd party website. Guess I will just keep trudging on. Even my favorite launcher is getting buggy...

The overall feedback doesn't seem positive:

I'd be inclined to use the low-effort root method posted on XDA, if it were me. You'd save $40, at a minimum.

I'd have to wonder if they created their own root method that they are charging for or just leached the instructions posted on XDA.

I wouldn't let someone remote in to my PC/phone.
