Oneplus 5t dual bluetooth pairing, one for calls, the other for audio, is it possible?

I have a oneplus 5t android phone. My car does not have built in bluetooth but I have a bluetooth FM radio transmitter device which pairs to my phone then transmits to my car radio using it's own internal mic. It's not a great earpiece for calls, but a great way to hear navigation and music.

I would like to buy a bluetooth headset for calls while driving.

Can I configure my phone to play all audio except calls to one bluetooth device, but using the headset for calls only?

You should be able to. Open the Bluetooth connection to the transmitter and disable Phone. Then pair the headset and connect it.
