OnePlus 8 Line!

I looked to see if this was already discussed - mods, please delete if there is already a thread about this!

Who is excited for the launch of the OnePlus 8 line? According to this video, it's going to happen mid-April.

What I'm most excited about? This video talked about having triple cameras and ip68 water resistance. There will be three models - the OnePlus 8 Lite, the OnePlus 8, and the OnePlus 8 Pro.

Apparently, they will be 6.4" and the Pro will be 6.7". That seems too big for me but I guess time will tell!

Anyway, leaks are coming out often and this is only one video and one person's take on what's happening. So we will have to wait and see! But I am still excited! I'll post the link below so you can watch, too!

Haven't seen any discussion , looks like this phone will have great specs but will use my 1+7P until another year, love it's full display and pop up camera .

The popup camera does seem really innovative and amazing - I just didn't go for it because with my clumsiness, I knew I'd pay for it, literally!

Now that OnePlus has ip68 water resistance, all I'm waiting for is camera tests! If the Pixel 5 doesn't intrigue me, then I'll consider the OnePlus 8! Maybe. I love my S10.

Why not the Pixel 5 or OnePlus 8? I heard that the Pixel 5 may be a midrange model only. But if they still deliver a phenomenal camera, they may get my money!

Also, I'm looking out for Huawei. Wish I could get my hands on a P40. But don't think we'll see Android OS on it anytime soon.

Also, how is the camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro?

I see no interest in pix 5 or 1+8 I have their previous version I like more so I wont upgrade just to upgrade, has to be something I want or like and I don't see. I was interested in p20 because its design and periscope but now Samsung offers this so need anymore. Day time photos come out pretty nice on 1+7P but night not so good .

According to the video I linked above, only the Lite would not have a curved screen. I hear you - as someone who's owned two smartphones with curved screens, that news made me a little wary, too.

Update: unfortunately, according to the source this reviewer used, the OnePlus 8 will not have an IP 68 rating; but the Pro will be IP 68.

The Oneplus 8 will have the bullet hole screen and I think it is a shame they got rid of the pop up camera. The full screen was lovely. It should also have an always on display as well. Wonder if it will finally have wireless charging.

I think the video I linked above stated that the OnePlus 8 Pro will have wireless charging!

Oh I'm not a big fan of the bullet holes. I use the oneplus7pro now from when first came out. I'll look at the 8pro but this time I'll also look at the V60

The V60 is one snazzy phone, too!

You know, I too didn't like holepunch notches but now that I have my S10, I really like them. However, the S10+'s double-holepunch is a little much, IMO. But I guess in time it becomes less noticeable!

Green shown in video, dark blue/almost purple also looks good on pictures no teaser yet for this color. Good that they are bringing in so many colors. Pretty sure they all will be available direct from OnePlus unlocked anyways which is what I prefer. But I'm sure carrier versions will not have all color variants.

I may have to try the Pro. My concern is that every OnePlus phone I have had has had terrible reception on AT&T. Missed calls, dropped calls, etc. I also missed the lack of wireless charging, but it looks like that will no longer be an issue.
