Ongoing Wi-Fi connected notification

Does anyone know how to get rid of 'Wi-Fi connected Connected to "xxxxxxxx" notification in Ongoing notifications screen?

I believe it will stay like that till you disconnect. My weather and avast do as well.

Status bar already tells me that I'm connected to Wi-Fi, I think it's just taking up space for not much of use. I wish there's an option to disable it like brightness control.

Sorry to hear that but I believe you have an AT&T unit, right? Unfortunately there's no way to turn that notification (useless, IMHO) off,and it's a carrier implementation. Most S4's don't have that, but I saw an AT&T S3 and that's EXACTLY what I noticed when my friend connected to my home WiFi... I guess they did it again.
