What general region are you in?

I ask that because if you are on the eastern US where hurricane Irene passed through, there have been multiple reports of wireless service interruption.

if not a hurricane related problem, i'd uninstall the last app or 2 that were installed.

Agreed. After looking at applications, I would look at what radio versions you have... If you have MR1 or flashed the 2.10.605.1 leaked GB build, both have poor radios.
