Only weather showing in Google Now widget

Hi all,

I've added the Google Now widget, and if I go into the app itself I get news cards, where I parked my car, weather etc. But on the widget only weather is showing. I believe it also throws up an upcoming appointment if it's in the next hour or so, but no news so far. Any ideas why?
