So, I changed my Google account password on my computer. Now I cannot change it on my phone (primary account) w/o a factory reset.

Do I care? What effect does this really have? Does anyone know how to change the google account on the android market?

I can't see how this really effects me, other than in a couple of apps. If I can figure out how to change which google account each app uses, do I even care that I can't re-set my account password?

For example, in the stock email system, I already re-set my google password, so I can get that mail there. I already re-set it in google music.

To change what account the Market is using....Go to the Market app and hit the settings button and select accounts. You can either select a pre existing account or add another Google account. Hope that helped out. :)

Ok, this is going to sound stupid, but where is the settings button in the market app? I'm looking at the screen now, and I don't see a setting button.....btw, even though I am in IT and love gadgets, this is my first smart phone....and I love the Rezound so far.

If anyone else has an opinion on if I should care that I can't change the primary account pwd on my phone, and what impact that have, let me know. Thanks....

btw, I spent months here looking at this board before buying the Rezound, and this board was most helpful in my decision. So thank you all.

You should be able to change the password via that accounts menu.

So long as you didn't enable the 2-step verification on your gmail account, it should be as simple as just changing the password.

It's worth it to do as if you had purchased any apps under the gmail account in question, you'd lose them until you get the password worked out. Purchased apps are tied to one google account.
