Open Letter to Samsung's Design Dept (why is there no white color?)

BTC, I thought I pretty well addressed your comments. Maybe you missed my post. I've been lamenting no white S7s in the states (on this website) since before the phone shipped. And I felt the exact same way about the gold color...eww! However, since no white phone was rumored to become available any time soon (or EVER), I went with the gold and paired it with a clear backed, Crystal Rose Spigen Hybrid bumper case. Just a hint of rose around the edges of the phone. Understand and elegant.

H Monica!

I DID see your post, but was it got buried among the onslaught of “yes they do offer white and phone is fine AS IS” replies….lol

I also actually OWNED the “gold” version of the Galaxy Alpha, but it was a much softer & lighter brushed metal gold, zero fingerprints & very “understated” which is what I think you meant when you put “understand” & elegant" (dang that auto correct ;)

It just boggles my mind that given Sammy’s latest iterations with their “mirror-like finishes that more people aren’t rebuking their offerings. I honestly feel like its the equivelant to investing in “a beautiful brand new sports car that looks beautiful for ONLY one minute" & then having it appear like you drove thru the mud within seconds after purchasing it, with the cycle repeating itself hundreds of times a day…

With ALL the efforts Samsung has made to BRING IT, its hard to believe they are so "UNinspired in that one area to get that ONE aspect of the design of their products perfected"….And THEN, to top it off, they remove the ONE color they offered that at the very least tends to “conceal, reduce & almost hide that design flaw”

Luckily, we’ve advanced to the point where there are sooooo many nice phones out there at great prices, if Sammy doesn’t bring it with the Note 6, I’ll more than likely go to Huawei… I never used that dang S Pen anyway!

And even IF it were available in Europe and NOT in USA, that's just crazy too, cuz with our fried chicken, french fries & ribs, we need a finish that doesn't retain "grease" more than anywhere in the world!" lol

As pointed about above, I think that carriers to a degree are influencing color options, particularly at launch. I recall that my wife wanted the white 64GB Note 5, but was not available on Verizon last fall. The Note 4 was available in white from Verizon at launch.

Interesting to see the various color options offered from Samsung and Verizon for the same phone.

Samsung shows black and white color options in 32/64GB model for Verizon. When I go to find the online seller from the Samsung page, that goes to Verizon's site, where it only shows black and gold versions (see below).
Samsung Galaxy Note5, 64GB, (Verizon), White Pearl

Verizon shows black and gold in 32/64GB model.

Agreed. Carriers can definitely pick what they want / don't want to sell. They don't owe anything to Samsung in regards to specific colors.

If anything other places get all the cooler colors. When the S6 came out with all those options I instantly told my friends to not get all hyped up .. because only the usual would come to the U.S. -- and that is what happened.

I was bummed about the non white phone too. Like it's all glass. I don't want to see every single fingerprint.

@OP...Y'allL just like white because you're a woman and it's built into your DNA, how else do you explain all the horrible white kitchen makeovers ?! :D

There is a place where you could get high quality skins for your phone and I'd bet white is an option...it's called DBrand.

https://dbrand.com/shop/samsung-galaxy-s7-skins?utm_mnsid=UUacUvbUpU5137739 ..10 bucks !

Seriously, you can like white all you want though...but gold is still best ! :P

Also, Samsung never reads their letters or they'd get rid of KNOX and Efuse entirely.

Hey, I was hoping for a white S7 and I'm a woman who redid her kitchen with dark cabinetry and rustic stone, so there! :p
I bought the gold and like it a lot better than I thought I would but would have liked white better.

The white is nice, but personally I'd like to find the silver one, its not available here where I am at all. I have had white and gold previously so the silver would be nice now. Everything goes in cycles I guess. :)

Bossy, not that it would probably make a lot of difference, but when writing to a business your letter or email will generally be taken a lot more seriously if written in proper English, with good grammar, punctuation, and without slang.
