Opened a suspicious link what to do

[Android Central Question]

I found a link that I accidentally clicked on and nothing was downloaded on my phone and I also checked to make sure nothing really was
I did a scan with Malwarebytes still nothing

But I checked it on virus total
And it is flagged malicious/malware by 5 different antiviruses

What should I do? and could the link have any negative effects on my phone but I am just not aware of what it is capable of doing yet?

Welcome to Android Central! Clicking on a link won't cause a problem. If you go to a malicious website and then download a file and open it, that's where you can get into trouble.

But are there really any true "drive-by" malware installations in the real world? That article doesn't really mention any clear evidence of that -- it could just be referring to links that lead to a download/installation prompt. I mean sure, we read about occasional scary malware (that's typically trumpeted by companies that are selling security software), but they usually end up being extremely limited in terms of region, or require a person to do some pretty inadvisable things in order to successfully get infected.
