Opened phishing email

[Android Central Question]

I accidentally opened a phishing email in Microsoft 365, but I didn't click on any links. I immediately closed the email and marked it as phishing. Is there any risk of malware being installed on my phone just from opening the email?

Welcome to Android Central! It's highly unlikely that just opening the email would cause any problem. They'd need you to tap something to install malware.
