Quick question, if your far away from phone, or your phone is off, will it still keep and show the time? (work like a normal simple watc)

Yup, it does. It doesn't have to be paired to a phone to keep time. It does sync the time from time to time with the watch just to keep things really in sync and avoid those millisecond errors inherent in the internals (or in case you suddenly move time zones), but for the most part, you'll still have the right time on your wrist even if you don't have a phone paired to it.

Thanks, I just might be :) was saving up for a Citizen watch, but now am on the fence, the Moto is quite cool looking and being able to change faces is really a cool thing.

That's what made me take the leap. Just the ability to change watchfaces every day (and the myriad of extremely cool watchfaces out there) make this quite worth it. Even if it wasn't a smartwatch haha

I just bought my bosses Moto 360. I'm still using an iPhone 6+ until the end of the month- can I use the watch at all?

You could only use it as a regular watch and with the built in faces... not much customization you can do there, unfortunately. These devices are designed to work paired with an Android phone. You use the phone to customize the watchfaces (yes, even the built-in ones), push notifications, and even set the time on the watch.

You'd need an Android phone to do the initial set up, but after that, as long as you keep to the built in faces (as previously customized on the Android phone), you can still use the watch as, well, a watch. It'd just tell time and you could only swap the preloaded, pre-customized watchfaces.
