I understand the S8 uses at least 4 different satellite location services (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou), and I've installed an app that reported around 20 satellites in use, a mixture of all four.
Does it always use the "average" of all available satellites, or does it prefer one or two systems? Is it possible to change this behaviour?
I ask because I've read that (according to some hikers/mountaineers using dedicated navigation devices), using only one or two services will often give a more accurate fix than using everything. I'd like to try it and see, but I haven't figured out how on the S8.
I use my S8 for route recording and navigation, both are good but recording especially makes the odd mistake.
