Can we change this forum section so the first page has a list of categorized subforums?

Optimus T:

1. General
2. Android development
3. Apps
4. Etc..

We need there to be some development on this phone first. I'm starting to think they only sold 10 of them, if it wasn't so close to the optimus one we probably wouldn't even have custom recovery.

If you click on "Android Forums" those sections already exist. This is the "LG Optimus T" section specifically for that phone (apps are usually cross platform and device).

P.S.
The Optimus T has only been out for a few weeks and people are still having problems finding the basics (stock rom, how to unbrick their phone, usb drivers, etc.). Even the rooting procedure has had to change (rooted mine with SuperOneClick, but that wouldn't work with my son's, had to use Z4Root instead). The source code was just released the other day, so development should pick up now if some developers show interest in the device.

This is the Optimus T section but I mean when, you click on this section, have a short list of Sub-Forums specifically for the Optimus T, not lg optimus one like the XDA website, LG Optimus One P500 - xda-developers

Boston, MA. I've had my T for 3 months. USB drivers are on LG.com easy access. Do you mean rooting to gain rootaccess or installing custom recovery to install new roms? It does get more confusing as with each new version of the Android SDK is released.

I have everything I need, but everywhere I look people are still asking where to find things and how to do things. Just look at the sticky on how to root, it turned into a disasterous troubleshooting thread which takes to long to read through, just to find out everything is easier with Z4Root. Currently I'm just trying to figure out how to get the LG Update Tool to allow me to use it as a way to Factory Restore my phone before I do run into a problem. I need to change the version reported to the update tool to V10h (I'm thinking about trying the build.prop file to see if it will change it).

Do what JoeMomma said and download a linux distro (Free Operating System for your PC). Play around with that for a while so you can get used to linux, which is basically the Android OS. Trail and error. This phone is a mini-copmuter, it will do whatever you want it to if you ask nicely :)
