Optimus V as a wifi hotspot

(This is for those who are looking for a completly free hot spot app)

I found that the Quick Settings app works as an awesome quick access app and enables your optimus v to become a wifi hotspot. Your phone does not need to be rooted either. You can also set a password for your hotspot.

yup. this happened months ago.


have fun with it though. Virgin mobile is going to start capping all users at 2.5 GB then you get slow speeds until the month restarts. like.. dial up speeds.. even on a good signal. i dont want to know how bad its going to be on a weak signal.

point is, stop tethering. you gain nothing. the cap will destroy any dreams you had of tethering. i used to watch netflix tethered at friends houses through my laptop. not gunna be able to do that anymore
