ok so i rooted my phone the other day pretty much just so i could overclock it. now i guess i need a kernel. i dont want to change the rom in case i have to send it back for some reason (i used to get new phones from virgin mobile all the time even though they had water damage so the techs who look at them must not be very smart lol) so i just want to replace the kernel to over clock....... how do i do it ? do i have to use a pc or can i just do it through the terminal em. on the phone? heeeelp

You might have to install a custom recovery before you are able to install a custom kernel. If you are going to do that, then you might as well get the full benefit and install a custom rom ><

do you know a good tut. for it cause im confused as hell about all this stuff haha. i think i know how to do the recovery but i just need a good step by step break down

i was pretty much asking where the root of your sd card was... oh and can i do this via terminal emulator
Yes, you can do this via the terminal emulator.
When you plug the SD card into the computer (or the phone into the computer), it is just the first directory of the drive that appears.

ok awsome. i just wanna ask one more thing . it says never to flash a radio.img what exactly is that
Honestly, it is something that you don't have to really worry about. I don't really have a great idea of what it is but I do know that if you go to Settings>About Phone>Baseband, that is what it changes.
You shouldn't ever need to flash one anyway.
