"Oreo Colorizer" app adds higher color spectrum

Hey. I've been checking these forums cause I have ordered pixel 2XL 128gb black but wont get it till the 15th of November or later cause I live in Canada. I found this article about a solution to "dull" colour experience:

https://9to5google.com/2017/10/25/google-pixel-2-app-vibrant-colors/

I was wondering if someone with the Pixel 2 XL could test it and let us know how it is?

Thanks in advance
There's a thread about it..

I have it. Makes the red brighter.

Loaded it, it does force a higher saturation and reduce the blue tint (IMHO). If that was important to me, I would probably run in the app.

It sucks. When fully enabled it lags your day to day tasks. extremely noticeable after using the pixel xl 2 for days without it. flipping pages on flipboard lag, scrolling as well. Wait till an official fix.

Developer said because of the way it does thing, if you do it frame-by-frame, there will be a significant performance decrease.

Wait for an update to allow system-wide P3 rendering.

Regular pixel to here, happy with the colors, don't plan on tweaking settings, stock wallpaper that was installed on phone, Horrible Very dull get rid of that wallpaper you're good. Referring to the beach setting you see on all the phones
