OS update need help, old phone

Ok so this may or may not be a simple fix for someone, ive come from ios so im new to this. I have the samsung galaxy note 3 neo, i couldnt find the forum for that. I was wondering why i could not update to lollipop 5.1.1 and i figured it out, my phones model number is the SM-N7507 which is the Taiwanese model, im from Australia and everything is in english but in Taiwan they cant update to the Lollipop 5.1.1. If i download and install the SM-N750 5.1.1 does the reigion matter and will my phone be bricked. If so is there a way to root this model and install either lollipop 5.1.1 or any version of marshmallow. If so how. Many Thanks im sick of the old ugly looking os

Have you tried to take it to a Samsung service center?
