If I remember correctly, the word "fart" actually had to be added manually the first (and probably only) time I wanted to actually use it since swype is rather g-rated by default. Had I not wanted to text a rather childish joke that one time, I wouldn't have the problem I have today.

You can type "fart" and then click it and it should highlight, then in lower left hand corner I believe is a little button that will open setting/dictionary and you can remove that word Been a while since I used swype so I cant tell you exactly were or what the settings button looks like.

i have come to find that slideIT is a better swype application. it has much better touch recognition and much less errors. and the best part of all is that you no longer get that swype tips popup after almost everything you type in.

Agreed. I've been using it for a while now. It's a great, albeit not free, substitute for Swype.

+1 for SlideIT

install it and never look back. better word choice, less censored, and makes you hit the plus sign to add a word, so you don't end up adding words that you don't want to add.

definitely the way to go for swype. i wonder what the upgraded version offers that the free version doesn't.

i used to use swype on my touch diamond and it seemed to work much better than the one that comes on the optimus. I keep getting "tio" when i want to type "to" and when i delete it it comes back.

I have this same problem. Only for me, the word that keeps coming back is "yip" when I try to swype "to". Anyone know how to fix this?
