OTA Gingerbread after rooting?

Friday I rooted my Thunderbolt with Revolutionary and Saturday installed bamf_forever. Very nice I like it and all the bloatware is gone.
I received the Gingerbread OTA before rooting. I had the usual VM issues. The question is: Do I need to accept the rerelease of Gingerbread now that I'm rooted and running bamf?
Thanks.

Rooting was easy with the instructions on this forum. You guys are great!

You wont get a re-release of the ota. If you do definitely do not accept it.

Thanks for responding. I'm assuming that I'll get a notification of the availability of the revised Gingerbread. I'm new to this whole thing. I'm trying to learn all the terms and jargon for "android-speak," so I'm sorry if some of my questions don't make sense.

I guess my real question is whether I really need the rereleased Gingerbread now that I'm rooted and on bamf.
Thanks again.

You will not get a notification of a software update being available.

When new software is released by Verizon and HTC, Bamf will be updated as well and you can upgrade manually.

Excellent. Thanks again. I'm sure I'll hear about the bamf update on this very forum.
At my age, almost sixty, I decided not to fall behind in the technology realm. Plus I like to tinker with things. Great website for learning.

From what I know....once you "root" your phone, you break the link of upgrade notifications. Somewhat like living off the grid so to speak. I would wait until the DEV's release new versions of there ROM's.
