I'm presently rooted, running the stock MJ7.
If I allow VZW to push the latest update (this week's?) will I lose root?

If so I assume I'd have to wait for a method to root this new build.
Is there a way to turn off the infernal update message while I wait for a custom recovery for te i545

Yes, you would lose root. Knox screws up everything and the boot loader. Ignore the update for now. I'm not sure about the notification, there may be a root app that can do this

I took a risk and updated to MK2 using Survival Mode in SuperSU Pro. I can confirm that the update was successful and I still have root access. Pretty cool...

Hey, good to know.

Did you just run the OTA and cross your fingers or was there anything else? (I've enabled Pro on Super SU).
Good people those SU folks.

I simply ran the OTA as normal. No funny business other than Survival Mode.
