I received the update this morning. I have no idea what the idea what improvements or changes, if any, were made though.

This update was pushed out for the G watch a couple of weeks ago to fix the issue with the charging pins becoming corroded. I haven't seen any reports that it was an issue for the Gear Live as well.
Maybe the Gear Live got the update as "just in case" kinda thing.
