OTA while rooted

Hey all, I'll soon be getting my new Nexus 7 and plan to root it right away, now I believe I can not get any OTA updates to upgrade to 4.4 while rooted, right? If I can't can I flash the stock 4.4 ROM but still get minor updates from Google to fix bugs etc without re-flashing the stock roms over and over again?

update to 4.4 and then root.

you will still get ota when rooted but u have to have stock recovery to install the update successfully.

Ah I was going to install TWRP, damn it. Gunna see if here's a work around, anyone know of anyway to update while rooted with custom recovery?

u have to install twrp/clockwork to root N7 but if you are using rooting tools then you might not need it...

also its easy to go back to stock recovery... use the same process you use to install twrp but instead of twrp file use stock recovery file.
