OTG cable/Card reader/external hard drive reader for Galaxy S5

I am looking for an OTG cable or card reader for my S5 and wondering what is the best one. Specifically I want to find a cable or card reader that also allows me to charge my phone at the same time and be able to read my USB flash drives. I looked on amazon and found an OTG hub which has slots for micro sd cards, sd cards, USB flash drive, and a hdmi slot. It also supposedly has a slot to plug in your charger and it will charge your phone at the same time. The description said that you had to plug a charger to it to use the hdmi. Wondering if anyone has used one of these and if it works as stated and is worth buying?

I am also wondering if its possible to use an external hard drive on your phone. I have read that if you can plug in seperate power to it instead of relying on the phone power (just like if you plug it in a computer it relys on the computer power to power up), you can read from the external hard drive. However, my external hard drive doesn't power up with a seperate power cord. You rely on a computers power. So if I got the OTG hub I described above and plugged in the charger to it, would I then be able to read from the external hard drive on my phone? Or how would I be able to read from an external hard drive on my phone?

I can read and write to a USB hard drive or flash drive connected to my S5 with a plain OTG cable without power. With my Galaxy Tab S I need to use an OTG cable with a Y connector with power, but even with that the phone will not charge.
