Other Person Can't Hear Me When I Have Them On Speakerphone I Switch To Another Screen

I was on hold for quite awhile, waiting for customer service. I got bored and switched to another screen while I was waiting for them to get to me.....when my turn came and someone tried to talk to me, I could hear them but they couldn't hear me. I've since found that this is what happens anytime I switch to another screen while talking on speakerphone. Is there a setting I can change to fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! I wonder if Google Now might be interfering, if you have it set to listen for "Ok Google" from any screen. Try turning off that setting in the Google Now settings.
