Ok, first off let me start this by saying that I bought the otterbox for phone protection, i bought the black defender. It say on the site its supposed to protect against dust and debris. But I have had my phone in the otterbox since day one and so far, some sort of dust/sand particles got in around the edge and scratched my bezel up. I honestly think had it not been in the case the scuffs and scratches wouldnt be there because it would just have roll off. I'm thinking about getting a whole body protector and apply it to the bezel so it stops getting even more scratched. I also had this happen with the otterbox on my iphone 5 before I got my note 2, seems to be a new trend. I never had this happen on my blackberries.
Also second complaint which I'm sure you've all heard before if you have done any research on the case is that the built in screen protector is too far off of the screen so it leaves a gap there, very very annoying. I'm thinking that this might have something to do with the first complaint. Also, due to the screen protector being too far off the screen tons of lint or whatever else gets in. I have had a ton of otterboxes and this might be the worst one I have had.
Quality seems to have gone down since they have become more popular. I do believe I will be requesting a refund for this otter box to them until they decide to fix these issues. Annoying to have your phone in what should be a protective cocoon and take it out to discover its scuffed up.
