Otterbox Complaint

Ok, first off let me start this by saying that I bought the otterbox for phone protection, i bought the black defender. It say on the site its supposed to protect against dust and debris. But I have had my phone in the otterbox since day one and so far, some sort of dust/sand particles got in around the edge and scratched my bezel up. I honestly think had it not been in the case the scuffs and scratches wouldnt be there because it would just have roll off. I'm thinking about getting a whole body protector and apply it to the bezel so it stops getting even more scratched. I also had this happen with the otterbox on my iphone 5 before I got my note 2, seems to be a new trend. I never had this happen on my blackberries.

Also second complaint which I'm sure you've all heard before if you have done any research on the case is that the built in screen protector is too far off of the screen so it leaves a gap there, very very annoying. I'm thinking that this might have something to do with the first complaint. Also, due to the screen protector being too far off the screen tons of lint or whatever else gets in. I have had a ton of otterboxes and this might be the worst one I have had. Quality seems to have gone down since they have become more popular. I do believe I will be requesting a refund for this otter box to them until they decide to fix these issues. Annoying to have your phone in what should be a protective cocoon and take it out to discover its scuffed up.

ive also had my Defender on since day 1, i have ZERO scratches. My phone does not move around on the inside of the case. My outer edge and bezel still look brand new. I yanked my screen out after the first 5 mins and used my own protector.

Yours almost looks dropped

ill take a picture of the inside of the case there is some white stuff in it promise I have never dropped it or set it down rough one time no reason to lie to strangers

I would be flipping out if that happened to be. The case didn't protect a damn thing.

It is kind of hard to see the little white dots but they are there and they directly correlate with where the scuffs are on my phone.

I see the dots perfectly fine. That's unacceptable! I'd be emailing Otterbox support regarding it with the images attached. Unless there's outer damage to the case its worth a shot.

Nope never dropped it. Only scuff marks on the case was from sliding it across the table to someone and from it going in and out of my pocket

What do you think support would do? I seriously doubt they would buy me a new phone. If they did if just give it to my wife and live with the scuffs

No idea what they could do. But a complaint is worth it just to see what can be done. At the very least you complain about an issue and they fix it. Maybe they will offer a replacement since yours is faulty. I don't know but if something messed up my $700 phone I'd be furious.

Their warranty states they wont cover devices in the phone but if they want to say.they have the best.protection they should.cover devices if their product is faulty

OtterBox sent me a new case when I complained about the case but the new one has the same issues.

A little update, otterbox still has not replied to my complaint email that I have sent to them... Piss poor customer service on their part.

The Commuter has been pretty great for me, thus far.
