Otterbox Defender and the Note 5 Question

Hi All!
Well it is about time that I came back to the Android bandwagon after having a wonderful experience with Windows phones, but unfortunately "Big Red" is straying away from flagship windows based phones and my Lumia Icon took a 25+ foot fall out of the tree that I was hanging a treestand in and ended up with a busted screen. As much as I would like to switch carriers unfortunately Verizon is the only reliable carrier that would provide me with the service at my family's cabin/hunting property. So I bit the bullet and scooped up a Galaxy Note 5. Now I'm in the market for a good case and I think I'm going to go with my all-time choice of cases the Otterbox Defender. My question for those Note 5 owners out there with the Otterbox cases is this: Does the fingerprint reader and other sensors still work with the case on? Being the fingerprint "unlock" being one of my favorite new features for the phone and I would hate to lose that capability. Any assistance you all could offer me with this will make my decision as far as cases go a lot easier.
