**sorry, I couldn't post the pics in the thread** :(

Hello all. Otterbox was nice enough to send me one of the Defender cases to review, so here you go! I've had the case on the phone all day.

The case came with the inner shell that has the screen protector, the rubberized outer shell, and the belt holster. As soon as I opened the package I thought "dang this thing is a tank!"...I was right.

The holster fits the phone perfectly. I did, however, have trouble getting it put on the phone without getting lint under the screen protector. However, once you get the case on the phone, it's on there! The rubber outer shell fits perfectly onto the plastic inner shell and the tabs hold it securely in place.

The earphone and charging ports are very easily accessible via the flaps. I was a little curious how well the flaps would stay in place, and have been pleasantly surprised. They don't move until you are ready for them to.

The case is thick, but it's not too thick. It fits very nicely in my hand, and doesn't seem to add much weight to the phone.

I have taken a few pictures with the camera and it seems that the lens protector does not interfere with the quality of the photos at all.

I have also been VERY impressed with how well the screen protector works. Scrolling through the screens and app menu, you don't notice any difference in how the screen responds. The screen protector is barely noticable. A big plus, in my opinion. I've made and received several calls with the case on, and it does not interfere with the speaker or sound volume. I have no complaints.

All in all, I really like the case. I have a habit of dropping my phones, but I have no doubt with this case, it would survive any fall without a scratch. The biggest issue I see with it so far is how bad it collects lint. My phone usually ends up in my pocket, and when I pull it out with this case on it, there is a significant about of lint on it. It also doesn't slide in and out of a pocket very easily. The rubber shell has a little bit of a tacky feel to it. If you don't mind that, you will love this case. An added plus....it looks really nice on the phone. :)

my one caveat with the defender case is side area touch. left right and top all seem to be hard to get to the very top to drop down the status bar, or type letters on either left or right extreme. otherwise it's been fantastic.

Yes, I just got a review unit from Otterbox today too... and I do have to say that so far the area right around the screen is taking some getting used to. Course, like my 12yr old daughter said... If it falls and lands face first it holds the phone that much further away from the ground.

the one thing that sucks to get scratched on this phone is the lens, and trust me they scratch! That's for the rear camera. Apparently this thing designed for the EVO also works perfectly on the Droid Incredible. Clever idea, I just bought one (buy one get one free!)

I recently traded my Droid X for an Incredible. The Incredible came with the defender. It had clearly seen its use; it was a nice case just not for me. One think I would like to point out is since it had seen use, it seemed to not fit together near as well. It was "creaking" all the time and the silicon outer shell did not fit snug. I just got my commuter series in and can't be happier.

I must say, this case is amazing. Just can't use a screen protector on top of the one that is built in to the Otterbox because the two screens stick together.
