so long story short, just got 2 Defenders(1 Pro and 1 Normal) and i recently saw many comments on youtube saying that it actually scratches the phone. As dust get in between the hardcase and phone and it rubs and stuff. So anyone actually have this issue?its quite a bummer that a tough case does this.

I've never heard of dust causing an issue.
Sand, absolutely can be an issue but funny see how dust can be abrasive unless it's something inDUSTtrial. No pun intended.

I've actually had this issue with my Samsung Protective Standing cover(rugged) in the past, dust getting in and leaving little scratches, although very tiny ones. I just take the cover off every now and then and make sure it's all nice and clean before putting it back on.

I just checked mine and no scratches at all on mine first I removed mine since day one.

Well, ill only know if it scratches when my Defender Pro arrives. Because ill be removing the Defender to put on the Defender Pro. But the hardcase is actually the same right?

If it's scratching your phone it's not dust. It's some kind of abrasive particulate or "grit" that is getting in between the case and the device.

My S7 got horribly scratched by debris that got into the case when I had the phone submerged in a stream taking under water photos.

Note 8 got scratched up too, but not nearly as bad. I don't like glass phones.

It's the joys of working in a sometimes dusty environment and it is has happened for as long as I can remember, not the fault of the case, just a matter of regular cleaning.

First time I used a defender case and from the looks I can't see any grit getting in this case its so tight. When I took it off the other day it was as clean as the day I put it on and I am always fixing something in a dirty Environment.

My thoughts exactly. I mean the case is tight enough to be almost dust proof. But comments in YouTube made me wonder.
