Will the Otterbox Defender that's been out for the Note 2 for a while fit the Verizon version? I can't think of why it wouldn't, but I know if I don't check and I buy one, it won't.

When did they release the Otterbox for the Note 2? I haven't seen one yet.

If anyone wants to see how the defender looks on the note 2 there's a couple of videos on YouTube

I signed up for notification on their webset for when the commuter becomes available and they emailed today that I could order.

Commuter was made available today. I have been anxiously awaiting the defender. I suspect it will not be long now for the defender. They added a new color variant today, Knight. The fact that they did that is a positive sign that it is coming very soon.

I am also waiting for the otter box defender, do we have any idea when it is coming out?

Otterbox has just responded to me with time frame of sorts for the Defender cases. I posted a question regarding color selection and got a response on facebook stating the defender series cases were shipping to retailers now and should be available on otterbox.com in the next week or so.

I can only imagine how bulky this phone would be with an Otterbox case. Naked phones FTW!

If I worked in a field that would justify having a naked phone, I would agree. The added bulk and protection is well worth it in the Wastewater field!

I had a pre-order for the OtterBox Commuter on Amazon.com but then I got an email from OtterBox that they had them in stock so I canceled my Amazon.com order and bought it from OtterBox directly so it will be here on Wednesday night and I will post pictures and details about it.

I'd be concerned about what all that plastic and rubber does with reception. Our radios aren't the best and Otter puts allot of stuff in their cases. I got a light thin plastic today which reduced reception a couple of dbms.
