Otterbox strada box is tight

So I just got my galaxy s7 edge. I also bought an otterbox strada case. I had hard time putting the s7 edge in it. I had to press my phone really hard. It's a good thing that it's hard in terms of safety of the phone: it doesn't fall off. However, I did press the phone really hard though. Could it have caused some kind of damage or something?

Are you noticing any issues with the phone??? That makes you feel you did cause damage placing it in the case?

No,but I'm paranoid whenever I have to struggle with things like things especially with expensive devices...
