So I got an offer to trade for the nexus s. Is it worth it? Lemme know quick lol!

The Nexus S is older hardware. However, it's a pure Google device so you tend to see OS updates faster and more often. The Nexus S is getting old though, and I'm not sure how long it's going to continue to see software updates.

If it were me, I personally wouldn't make that trade. Galaxy Nexus maybe, but not for a Nexus S.

Look at the bottom of the phone (with the screen on)
If you see 4 capacitive buttons, it's a Nexus S.

If you see 3 buttons on the screen itself, it's a Galaxy Nexus.

Gotcha. So galaxy nexus for e4gt is a bit of a downhrade on my part?

Yeah not a downgrade at all. Somewhat sideways in terms of internal hardware, but different in terms of operation. On screen buttons vs capacitive. Pure Google OS vs Touchwiz. The Nexus has a slightly larger screen if I recall, but higher resolution. It's a good phone. I wouldn't pay to swap to it, but I'd definitely consider a trade.

I actually did just that but because I'd gotten 3 replacement NxS and they kept having issues. I had mine for a year and loved it, got the JB update which is fantastic, but it was giving me nothing but grief. The GS2 is bigger, faster, has significantly better battery life than what I was getting. I've had mine since Thursday and am loving it so far, if having to get used to ICS again and how it looks completely different on the GS2 than it did on the NxS. Frankly, I think it's a major step up. This phone is way faster with much more room to play, both internally and externally. I love that I can add an SD card to make it that much bigger. Thinking of getting a 64gb for my music, might just stop carrying my iPod, too...
