Out of Neighborhood/Roaming???

I recently bought a Verizon Galaxy Note II running CM 10.1, Android 4.2.2. Under phone status, it seems to be saying I'm roaming and Network is "out of neighborhood." My drop down notification window always says "out of neighborhood" as well. If I check it off, it turns off my data. I'm not sure what this means. Should I be concerned? Is there something I must change in settings to remedy this? Thanks, much!!!

I'm running New versions (Stable only.) It's odd that when I go to my mother's house, about 200 yards away, my phone shows "Verizon Network" and not "out of neighborhood." I have a Verizon network extender in my house as reception here is very poor but my old phones never showed roaming at anytime. Could the extender have any effect on how the phone views roaming areas? Thanks so much for your help!

the "out of neighborhood" is a CM 10 deal, i did a quick search and your not the only person having issues regarding the roaming issue.

most individuals have cleared the issue by flashing the newest stable / nightly make sure you do the wipe and all that jazz. hopefully that will clear the issue, i dont believe the network exteneder would be the issue though.

Thank you! I did call VZW and I'm not incurring roaming charges. I'll take your advice, though, and see if that solves the problem.
