Outbreak of dropped calls

My GNex has been dropping calls for the last 6-9 months - the first dropped calls I've ever had with Verizon. Friends with VZW GNexs report no issues. Mine is unlocked but no longer rooted, running stock Android; theirs are not rooted.

Any ideas?

Try updating the PRL. It should be under about phone in the system settings. I'm on Sprint (which runs on CDMA as well) and updating PRL helps. If there is another option to update Profile (like on Sprint) then update that too.

Hopefully this helps. Otherwise, it could be a network issue on Verizon's end in your area.

The PRL is greyed out in settings and there's no system update available.

I misstated earlier that the phone is rooted - it lost root on the last OTA but remains unlocked.

Rooting shouldn't be an issue unless you changed something in the system.

No, I only ever ran stock. It's the only obvious difference from the other GNexes I mentioned.

Factory reset the device (after backing up data) and see if the problem persists. If it does, then I believe its either a hardware or network issue.
