Outgoing Call Volume

I’ve recently bought a few different Bluetooth headsets to use with my Pixel 3 XL. The reason for buying “a few different” ones is each of them have a low outgoing call volume and I’ve not found a way to increase it. The headsets I am buying are Plantronics, LG, etc. and range in price from $60 - $190, so they not the lowest nor the highest in cost.

The volume of what I can hear is fine, and adjusts as it should, but with any Bluetooth headset I’ve bought the person on the other end of the call have a very hard time hearing me. What am I missing (if anything)?
