Background: I had the Google Pixel, but was never very happy with it. Crummy battery life, could not tell if I had a voicemail or text without opening relevant app, flashlight would randomly turn itself on if in my jacket pocket draining battery. The last thing happened once too often, so 14 months I traded it for a Samsung 8+ When Best Buy has a $300 off sale. Also got $190 for the Pixel. Inasmuch as I buy a new phone every two years anyway, not that expensive a switch.

So far happy with it, my girl friend says I sound clearer, but for one issue. I use Outlook. Outlook email and calendar work fine, but I cannot get the contacts to work. When I bought the Samsung, they transfered the contacts from the Pixel to the Samsung using the contacts app on the Samsung. But it won’t synch with Outlook. So as of now, if I make a change to contacts in Outlook, I have to manually make the same change on the Samsung. The Samsung rep could not fix this problem. Has anybody else had this problem? Any solutions?

Did you try going into your settings and contacts to be displayed. Then select Microsoft exchange contacts?

I use the BlackBerry Hub and contacts. Always pulls in all calendars and contacts.

There is a setting in the Outlook app to sync your contacts with your phone.

Can you give that to me step by step? I don’t see an option for “contacts to be displayed.”

settings>cloud and accounts>accounts>Microsoft exchange active sync>sync account>(make sure contacts is toggled on)>3 dots upper right>sync now

Also, open contacts app, tap 3 dots upper right, tap manage contacts and tap sync at the bottom for all accounts

Open your contacts and press the 3 dots in the corner. Select settings and you will see the select contacts to be displayed. Then you will see a list of contact options. If you select custom you can customize your contact list to include contacts from Google and outlook.

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions have worked. I am now working with a tech at work, and even he is stuggeling.

I use Outlook desktop and sync my contacts with my S8. I suggest that you create an Outlook.com account, then set the account up in both desktop Outlook and S8+ as an exchange account. Once you do that and contact (or calendar event) that you create in any of the 3 locations will sync with the other locations.
