Android Central Question

I just upgraded from an HTC One M8 to a Samsung Note 8. Although HTC Sync Manager was mostly a pos it did at least give me the functionality I needed in a single application.

Having researched the existence of a universal syncing app for the Note 8, I came up empty!

For 'syncing' Contacts I am currently exporting from Outlook to a .csv file then importing to Gmail contacts. This is clunky and not what I would actually term 'syncing'
For syncing Music I am using the pro version (paid) iSyncr. (A great app but only for iTunes media)

I can't believe that there isn't a single app that will do what I need and I suspect I'm just not well informed. Can anybody point me to an app that will achieve my requirement? Thank you!

Outlook on a PC/Mac? There's SmartSwitch for PC/Mac. Plug your phone in, and click sync with Outlook. This however syncs to Samsung Contacts not Google Contacts. But that syncs to Samsung Cloud so it's still backed up.

There are also several PC add ons to Outlook that lets it sync online to Google Contacts. I used to use GContactMod for Outlook 2013. I stopped when I moved from Outlook to the built in Contacts/Email/Calendar app on Windows 10.

Yeah, sorry - Outlook on pc (Win 10). Thank you for these possible solutions for syncing Outlook.

However my real quest is for an application that will sync both music (iTunes folder) and Outlook to a Note 8 in one seamless operation in the way that HTC Sync Manager would/should have done ;)

I can't believe Samsung don't offer a comprehensive sync manager application for their Galaxy range?!? Seems crazy to me. Maybe I'm in a time warp, still using Outlook contacts and PowerAmp? Not in a million years will I ever adopt a compressed streaming service & monthly fees to listen to my music ..........

Samsung and Apple are big rivals so not sure about them not having a program to sync.

All other music players for a PC not named iTunes can sync music to any Android phone without need for an intermediary program. Plus Apple Music is actually available in Android so you could look into that.

That's a fair point; I hadn't really looked at it from a commercial competition perspective. I am in a fairly unique position probably. I don't actually use iTunes/Apple Music at all as a source of music but I it is the only supported application I can use to transfer music from a semi-pro (ReQuest) media server to a phone. Anyway I do at least have solutions for syncing, just not the universal one I was hoping for. First World problem for sure :). No worries and thanks for your insight.
