My Lenovo Yoga Tab running Android 10 has been shipped with, Outlook, ver 4.1.70. I found that I couldnt setup any IMAP email accounts using the bundled version of Outlook.

I updated the app via Google Play which installs ver 4.2048.4 and this version allows IMAP email accounts to be set up.

Unfortunately after a reboot or a device shutdown cycle the app reverts back to ver 4.1.70 and then also starts producing an error message box saying Outlook has stopped working. App info, Wait send feedback.

I have reset the device back to factory mode about 3 times in the past 3 days and at the moment the device only has the budled Android 10 apps running including the errant Outlook app.

Why does the app keep reverting back to the bundled version after a reboot and how do I get round this problem?

Hi, welcome to AC!

You can go to settings>accounts >add account >IMAP Gmail then use your outlook name and password , but you'll access it through Gmail app

I am able to disable or uninstall. If I uninstall it and then go to the play store, i'm offered the latest version $.2084.4 of Outlook to install. The app works fine and I can setup my email accounts IMAP and Web Based. However the app reverts to the bundled version 4.1.70 on the next reboot.
If after a reeboot when the app reverts to the old bundled version and I go to the Play Store to get Outlook, I am now only offered an Update to outlook whch updates to the latest version, however this also will revert to the original version after a device reboot.

Hi
I have tried that, I would like to get Outlook to work properly if I can.

My Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Tablet is still under warrenty, but I not sure if this issue is a hardware or a software based problem. I suspect it is a software issue bacaue all the other apps appear to be behaving properly.

I have spoken to Lenovo but they are saying that as all the other apps are working ok, the the problem is with the Microsoft app, I'm no so sure.

You might be able to find some Lenovo bloatware that is responsible for the automatic app installations. Go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, and look for app names like "Lenovo ID" or "Lenovo Experience" and try Disabling them.

Also, which Yoga Tab is this? What's the model number?
