Over heat

The top half of my phone gets really hot really fast with use. Anyone have this happen and does anyone know why it's happening?

Truly I use my zf4 quite alot and I've never experienced what you described. However it does get warmish during USBC charging with the 45w rapid charger.

Yeah this isn't with charging it's with use and it happens fairly quickly when I start using the phone. And it gets hot.

Get it checked out.....the battery or heat management may be malfunctioning.

Just using it.... Looking a FB or playing a game or even when I'm talking on the phone.

Yes and I cleared the system cache

In device care see if any apps are acting up in care report and see if it needs to be optimize , also check in safe mode

Nope still getting hot. I wonder if it could be the battery (not sure where the battery is.... Like I said, it's only the top half getting hot).

No worries
Press the power button until power off shows up on the screen then long press the power off on the screen until safe mode shows , to exit out while in safe mode just reboot the device.

I'm going to have to either break down and take it to get fixed or hope it holds out til January when I can get a new phone. I'm afraid what it might cost to repair.
