Yup, running it now. OC'd to 1.1 and undervolted. Stable so far. Had one reboot trying to add a widget but now it's all good.

If anyone else tries this, post your setup and results.

Im kinda of getting the "# setscaling.sh 100000 66" part when editing for speed and voltage, just wet behind the ears on this "echo 1 ............... .. > "

Once loaded we can run,

$ su
# insmod /system/lib/modules/overclock.ko
# setscaling.sh

Thats what I'm thinking, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Do we have to start at 400mhz? I like the idea of my X running at 300mhz when it is idle for battery savings.

No you don't change the 400 echo to 300 and see what happens. Just out of curiosity what kernel version are you guys running trying to see if it's the same as the d2

Jkdjedi can you attach the files straight from the androidforums to your original post? I really only like AC boards and don't want to register on some random android forum just so I can download 2 files lol.

First time I did it, I did it all on my X through terminal emulator. Then I updated to Rubix and wanted to do it quicker so I used ADB. Not tricky at all. Very easy once the step by step is done.

Plus, we'll be here for help.

And If you do flub up it should reset on reboot right? Unless you install that one file to make it stick.

I am still testing these settings, but I am currently at 1.2GHz and getting a Quadrant of 1586

What effect does the rom have on stability and overclocking?

If I play with it now. Find where its stable then lock it in. then decide to switch roms. Will my settings stay?

That is correct. If the phone can't handle the OC, it will become sluggish, real sluggish, or just randomly reboot. After the reboot (or battery pull if you need to) it will go back to stock as long as you didn't enter the commands to make it permanent.

I can't go anything over 1.1 without problems but some people are getting up to 1.4.

So im working on a howto, but im testing out some limits etc. I realized that there was enough difference between this one and the last to warrant some more testing. Should have something up tonight I think. However, I am at 1.25, 59 and it has been stable. 1702 on the quad in fission 1.1t4
