Done with Quadrant

My Kernel = unreleased test kernel with a few tweaks to .config
GNM Beta = GNM Beta 864mhz
Stock = V9 LG

Could not run 864mhz, benchmark crapped out and dropped me to home screen.

I'm curious as to what my tweaks + oc would hold. Though my tweaks only offered 12 points, margin of error possibility.

Based on this I want an EVO lol.

I got 644 ill post screenshots shortly.lol

with what?

Edit: I got a 700 :)

(custom ramdisk should have nothing to do with it I just edited init.rc to change my hack to zefie.sh instead of install-recovery.sh)

Wouldn't ddms be easier? Not many know but if you run "ddms.bat" from the sdk you get a java app and you click your device, then go to the device menu and wam, screenshot :)

Yeah thats what i usually do but i don't have sdk set up on the pc im at.

setting 120mhz as min on my custom rom has make battery insane. on standby for an hour with minimal txting, not even a single 1%. Quickbattery widget still said full. Normally with the 250mhz min that'd be down like 2-3%.

On the previous oc discussion it was stated that under 240 wasn't far enough to wake on call, is that not true?

In setcpu you can set what are called "profiles"

People who don't know any better will typically set a profile to lock the phone to 120MHz when the screen is off. At 120 MHZ, the phone will have issues receiving the call, waking up the screen, switching to the new setcpu profile for screen on, and allowing you to answer the call. All this could result in a missed call.

Now you could do a main profile on min 120MHZ, max 600MHz and ondemand gov. This is almost exactly how the phone is set stock from the factory. Only difference being it's a min of 240MHz from the factory, the rest is the exact same. Realistically, scaling down 120MHz would increase your battery life in minutes, not hours.

If you did want to set a profile for screen off i'd recommend something like 120 min, 320max, ondemand gov. Then set your main profile for 120mhz min, 600 mhz max, ondemand gov. For this phone, unless you're going to OC, theres not a lot of options in setcpu due to only having 600MHz

That's my 2 pennies anyway

my phone had no problem ringing and waking me up today. and screen off is set to 120-240.

Setting it to scale between 120 & 240 is not locking it to 120.

Cheers

P.s. Do you have some xml files you wanted me to look at for phone.apk? Pm me a link but they have to be non string locked xmls
